Engineering Education in India

India is one of the largest producers of Engineers in the world. Engineering education was started in the British era with the establishment of the first engineering college at  Roorkee. AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) focuses on planning, dissemination and formulation of technical education. It has helped students in nurturing and supporting quality education to the students across the country.

With the increasing number of students in the field of engineering, there are a number of technical institutes established across the country. With this, there are also challenges or issues that fail to provide the right platform for the students in employment. But India is giving its best to reinvent the technical education system with quality and opportunities. Millions of students appear for competitive exams such as JEE, JEE Main, AIEEE, CET, etc for the engineering seats in top universities or colleges
